When did you start skating?
I started skating when I was about 14 years old.

What was your first skateboard?
My first skateboard was a Zoo York deck 7.75 with thunder trucks and 52mm spitfire wheels.

When did you stop or slow down significantly?
I haven’t really slowed down that much, I continue to skate on a day to day basis, or as much as possible, its the one thing I look forward to doing everyday. When I’m not skating I’m usually documenting skating.

What do you do for a living?
I’m a freelance photographer and illustrator. I just moved to San Francisco.

When you are not skating, how often do you think about skateboarding?
All the time, every time I see a ledge, bench, wall ride or any ambiguous structure it makes me want to skate.

How did skateboarding affect the direction of your life?
Skateboarding has taught me to never give up, you have to work hard for the things you want in life and it has surrounded me with a lot of talented and like-minded people.

What is the connection between skateboarding and creativity?
It has taught me about structure, design, composition as well a thinking spontaneously, and to always have fun with what your doing no matter the endeavor.
